10 Tools to Enrich Your Bible Study

The Bible is about the King, His Kingdom, and His citizens. Provided below are ten study tools to enrich your Bible study experience in Kingdom culture. In FBI classes, participants are developing specific skills and habits that righteous persons need to be effective in life, focusing particularly on being Christ’s disciple—a person who is committed to learning from the King.

As a study participant, you can benefit most from assignments and study tools by completing three key activities:

  1. Conducting independent study of the Bible
  2. Identifying how the Bible can be used to see the nature of the King
  3. Meditating (reflection or contemplation), which is a posture that God uses to give wisdom to a righteous person

Use the resources below to enrich your study of the Bible. The description statements provided with each resource explain how each document can help you study, learn about the nature of the King, and meditate to allow God to speak to you. Click on each resource title to download the document.

The King’s Ambassador on Planet Earth

This document outlines the threats presented by the Apostle Paul, as to what Christians can expect to find in the world. Do you see evidence of these types of behaviors that Paul describes in today’s culture? Can you identify what assignment Paul says Christians should execute in response to this type of culture? If Christians are expected to do something, how can they prepare for this Kingdom assignment that Paul identifies?

Principles & Insights

This document is an example of the wisdom that comes from meditating on the Word of God. These principles provide guidelines on making decisions and setting priorities. Choose principles that stand out to you, and explain the principle in your own words. Then think of an example from the Bible and/or personal experience where you have seen the result of the principle in action.

Work Confession

This confession is a proclamation of Kingdom culture over your work environment. Righteous persons, who function like their Creator, bring order to their domain through speech. We can speak and expect God to bring order because these principles are written in accordance with His Word, and He watches over His Word to perform it.

Preparation for Participation

This document highlights the significance of the prophetic voice of God in the preparation of the righteous person for participation in work of the Church. Proper preparation is the prerequisite for participation.
