Module Description

This Module focuses on the Seven Steps of the Righteous Person. While this study focuses on a phase of the redemption plan that is grounded in the Old Testament, the design is mainly to connect the old foundations to the new plan that Jesus really fulfilled when He was on earth.

Purpose

To provide the opportunity for personal instruction in studying the Bible to strengthen the believers’ foundation in the truth for salvation and a life of discipleship by Christ

Outline

  • Step 1 - The Profile & Power of the Righteous Person - Psalm 1
  • Step 2 - The Price Paid for the Righteous Person - Psalm 22
  • Step 3 - The Path Created for the Righteous Person - Psalm 23
  • Step 4 - The Provider for the Righteous Person - Psalm 24
  • Step 5 - The ‘Power-getting’ Process of the Righteous Person - Psalm 25
  • Step 6 - The Purging & Purification of the Righteous Person - Psalm 26
  • Step 7 - The Prowess of the Righteous Person - Psalm 27

Module Overview

  • David played a prophetic role when he wrote many of the Psalms. The distinct advantage that David had in his prophetic role was that he also had insight into the responsibilities of a king.
  • David knew better than most of the patriarchs the experience of coming from a small family to a position of prominence. He also recognized what it was to fail and then to be restored by God.
  • David created the earthly precedence for reigning as a king, and the prophecy about the reign of Jesus was that He would sit on the throne of His father, David.
  • Following the patterns set up by David gives the new believer the proper perspective for our major roles in the Church i.e. “To reign in life.”
